Physical Labor
I have worked in the past at times when I am not in my sporting season. Most recently these last three summers have been at TNT Fireworks, a company out of Tacoma, Washington. I was in charge of myself and two other guys that I have grown up with. We had a lot of independence in managing company cars and equipment, both very expensive. This job was great for money, and it kept me busy during my off season, and it was a great experience for me. As I have worked there more, they have begun to let me take the reigns of my daily operations. It has simply come down to the basic things that must be done, and I am allowed to handle my days however I see most efficient.

Baseball
A lot of my experience has come from being on teams of 30+ guys over the last 6 years. I have played sports for as long as I can remember. In the present day I have a lot of my focus on just the sport of baseball, but I actually played basketball and football in high school, and during the summertime I like to play golf for fun. I have a passion for sports, but I also have a passion for people. Both are a gift from God.
He has given me the ability to have leadership on almost all of the teams that I have ever played on. This started at a young age. I remember my parents telling me during tee ball, "Gabe, you are a leader. People on your team look up to you and follow what you are doing". I remember telling them that I didn't see it and that I was just playing sports with my friends for fun. As I got older I learned how right they actually were, and began to step into the leadership role that God had intended for me to be in. I have found my organizational and managerial skills during sports as well.
Being a pitcher on a baseball team is a little different then being a positional player. Coaches do not really pay much attention to you, because all you do is throw, run, and set up the field for the rest of the team. I was handed the reigns as leader of the pitching staff in high school and junior college and found out exactly how you have to manage and lead a group of young adult males. It is something that comes rather easily to me.
In the Fall of 2017 I will join the Biola Baseball coaching staff as an Assistant Coach. I also coach the 2019 PC Diamond Jaxx in the summer of 2018.

Internship
My dad is the CEO and founder of Fired Up! Culture, a managerial consulting firm that focuses on team building and cultural building techniques. Over the past year my dad has included myself into more and more parts of the business, as I hope to one day work along side of him.
This past summer I was able to step into an internship role where I primarily would shadow the CEO on his day to day business. Originally I planned on simply listening and absorbing, but the internship eventually developed into something much more. I was able to sit down with some of the CEO's of the company's for which Fired-Up! Culture does work for. It was so valuable to pick the brains of some very successful people. I was able to learn from their journeys, and they answered all of my questions with transparency. I was able to develop a web and brand presence for Fired-Up! during this internship. I was able to use platforms such as Hootsuite, WordPress, Google Analytics, etc.
